I love the story of how this wedding came to be. About 5-years ago I was searching for a particular camera; a Pentax 67, which is a medium format beast of a machine. I found someone selling one on Craig’s List and scheduled a time to meet with him at a cafe to check it out. The camera was beautiful and so I ended up buying it on the spot.
Before leaving, the then unmarried groom asked for my card and said, “you never know, I may need you some day.” A few years later I receive a call from the groom asking if I’m still shooting weddings, and if so, would I be interested in shooting his! That’s how I ended up being a part of this special day.
The Wedding took place at Yokayo Ranch, which is located in Ukiah, CA. I had never photographed there before and was immediately struck by it’s rustic beauty. The ceremony was short and sweet, with a wedding party consisting of the usual lineup of bridesmaids and groomsmen, but a couple of dogs were also part of the line up, which I thought was adorable.
It had been a few months since I had seen the couple, which was during their engagement shoot, so it was great to catch up with them. They are a stunning pair, but what makes them even more attractive is their sweet and down to earth personalities. These are my type of folks. After the ceremony I wanted to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings to get some stunning photos of the two alone.
It was so much fun to capture this amazing day. The energy of this couple, along with their family and friends made the it so enjoyable to be a part of. It makes me so happy to be given the honor to photograph such an important and memorable celebration in this couple’s life. I know they will have a beautiful life together full of love and laughter.

“Remo is absolutely amazing. He was very easy going and made my husband and me, who are not naturals in front of the camera at all, feel very at ease (and made us look great!). He also got along with the entire wedding party incredibly well, especially with a group of exuberant bridesmaids that were quite vocal. Most importantly the pictures were stunning!
